Abstract

Coronary artery aneurysms represent a rare entity and, although the majority have a silent presentation, a small proportion can develop into serious cardiovascular events including death. Atherosclerosis is the main cause in adults and Kawasaki disease in children. The management of coronary artery aneurysms must be individualized as there is lack of data from randomized clinical trials or meta analyses. We present a case of an incidental finding of multiple coronary aneurysms with local thrombosis and subsequent cardiac ischemia.
