Abstract

Shaggy aorta is a severe vascular degeneration of the aorta, with extremely friable internal surface and looks distorted by cholesterol crystals accumulated in the vascular wall (spiculated). In turn, Aorta Shaggy syndrome includes the association of these findings with multiple atheroembolism. The prevalence and incidence is unknown. Two cases are described with Aorta Shaggy and different modalities of percutaneous treatment.
