Post-angiography radial arteriovenous fistula

Radial access for coronary angiography has increased worldwide since its original description. The transradial approach generates fewer vascular complications than the transfemoral one. We report the case of a 41-year-old male patient with a history of hypertension, dyslipidemia and smoking, who was diagnosed with an acute myocardial infarction with ST-segment elevation,
undergoing for primary coronary angioplasty via the right transradial access. It evolves with a post-procedure radial arteriovenous fistula (AVF). Due to ischemic complications of the right upper limb secondary to radial AVF, surgical treatment is decided.
